Having wanted one for a while since I sold my GMT 16710 10 years ago so for my recent 51st Birthday I let myself get ripped off by the second hand Rolex market with this blue dial DJII

If you were to describe that watch without a picture to me - my interest would be Zero ... not my thing

But strangely .... That is lovely

... I think it's the Black dial that hit's the high note thumbup

Thank you.
Was worried about fit because people told me they wear large, but to be honest it feels similar in size to a 36-38mm slim dress watch. Wears lovely.

I don't normally like a deployant, but my Mrs has banned me from switching the strap!

LOL thanks. There's a blue and a green one too. Been obsessing over the burgundy for a few weeks - got fed up with the decision making so just got on and ordered it. Glad I did.

When I think 'Reverso' that's the dial type I have in my mind, all be it in black - the red is even better. Class.

My 104 was delivered early this morning, wrist shot due in maybe 3h from now when I get home.

Very quick pic, and it's a 103 and not a 104 as stated above...

Very happy smile

Thanks everyone for the very kind Reverso feedback. If you'd have told me 5 years ago that I'd be getting excited about a small red rectangular dress watch I'd have laughed out loud. Really enjoying how my tastes have changed over the past few years.

Love that Sinn cardshark. Bet you're a happy man tonight. I really want to try a U50.

No, I think they are quite something, they remind me of other nice things like hotels!

Weren’t the originals blank metal caseback? Something about protecting the glass while playing polo?

Yes, they were exactly that. Many (if not most) are still solid backed.

Would I be being ridiculous if I convinced myself I needed a solid case back Reverso as the ideal mountain biking watch? I just don’t quite gel with my G Shock and I need an excuse to get a Reverso into my life - I never go anywhere really that necessitates a dress watch

A Reverso is not a 'robust' watch in the same way a G Shock is. Yes, you can flip the watch and have a steel (or gold) back facing out, but that's their design heritage rather than making the watch bulletproof.

I have owned Reverso's that are 'sports' watches - but they're not really. They're very fine watches and beautifully made.

Thanks for the information. I was being a bit tongue in cheek - there’s no way I’d really wear it for mountain biking - but I do need a good reason for another watch or my wife would kill me. I love the Reverso but I don’t think I could realistically justify one for my lifestyle.

I’ll just have to keep looking at pictures and admiring from afar
