I was in Brighton today and T H Baker have opened a new shop in Churchill Square shopping centre. I had a look and interestingly they have taken the Breitling and Tag Heuer franchises from Ernest Jones (ouch). In the window I spied an Avenger with a rubber stap with deployment clasp it was like the one with holes but instead had raised circles, not seen this before and I ask my strap connoisseur Don have you?

Interesting - not seen one of those before.
Is it a specific model watch, or a 'customised' strap?

Normal strap with UTC module.

Looks like Breitling have stopped making them now (according to search results and posts from a few years back)
Also mentioned that you need a specific strap to fit the UTC
They did a digital utc that fitted the aerospace it looked lovely but was about 1700 on its own!

Just found a picture of it - pretty cool looking, but can think of a few other nice watches that would squeeze into a 1700 budget
Yes I thought that too, I wanted one when I had an aerospace but the price put me off.

Morning Neil!

Yes I have seen it, I can`t make my mind up about it though, it`s a bit like an Ocean Racer strap that didn`t come out of the mould properly isn`t it!
Yes the jury is out on the faint circle strap, I knew you'd have seen it Don wink

Picked up from service today. LOVE it.

I bet a service on that isn't cheap! Did they try to sell you a new strap stating that yours was stretched?

£310 all in. And no, no forced upsells smile But temptation of the imminent release of the emergency II
That's not bad thought it'd be more than that. They suggested I purchased a new strap and glass which together were about 800 quid, I politely declined smile

Not sure how they can justify that pricing - I can buy a pocket sized EPIRB / radio/ beacon for about 150 GBP - and which can be taken diving. And has more functionality than this watch smile
I really don`t think they can, no doubt they will have all sorts of justification about how long it took them to develop etc etc, but I don`t really care how long it took them!
It'll still sell, I think that Richard Millie ( not sure on spelling ) watch is silly money so up against that 12k is cheap! And it is a very nice looking tool watch, having said that I'm not sure I will ever spend that sort of money on a watch.

They don't have to justify anything; none of the brands justify their prices on anything, they put an RRP on after a bit of market research and see if they sell. 51mm, emergency beacon -> Chinese boardroom.

Good luck to them smile
5 years in the making wink

According to the serial number, 1971
Looks in lovely condition, and retro cool. I think they've relaunched that or a similar model.

Yeah I have seen before, breitling made all sorts of admin errors which has delayed things (Argos never did that with my Casio)... Lol

I'm getting it sent back to new bond street where I can collect and have them size my straps! Then I can then hopefully trouble free for the next 3/4 years if not longer. Also looking for a nice auto winder.

Soon I'll be grinning from ear to ear

I wanted an automatic as battery's in the Aerospace only last 3 years!

Post a pic of your Breitling.

What model is the one above? It's stunning.
It's an Avenger Seawolf in titanium, its the same watch as the watch further up ^^ but an earlier model. They are made of steel now.
