^^ Lovely watch that. Not seen one on a rubber strap before either.

So tempted by these, really nice watches.

I put them in the Milgauss class of watch-I love them, I think the story behind them is fascinating, I think they'll be future classics but I never seem to end up owning one.

the lighting doesn't really capture the mother of pearl face, but this is mine. i'm not sure of the technicalities, but it is a glass back with all the mechanism/jewels showing.

Greg - should you want to know a bit more about ^^^^^^that watch it's pretty much one of these:

http://www.chrono24.com/mauricelacroix/masterpiece...

The movement you can see through the back is an automatic, i.e. self-winding, movement. It's also a ladies watch, should that be of any interest.

I understand Maurice make their own in house movements; whether that is one of theirs or a bought in movement i don't know.

In other news, a few weeks ago i managed to combine my lifelong love of Orange mountain bikes with my more recently acquired love of watches in the shape of this lump of rubber:

For £50 you can't go wrong imo. The rubber strap and case pick up bits of fluff as you can see in the picture, which is pretty annoying. On the filpside, despite being hilariously big the rubber makes it one of the most comfortable watches i own. To change the strap i assume you're supposed to do this:

When i've actually got out on my bike I wear it for the rest of the day as a reward smile

Thanks snubs. That is useful info. I enquired about its 'orientation' when I bought it.

It was the only detailed but not too showy watch that I liked that didn't overpower my wrist so I suppose that it is a ladies watch doesn't matter in the scheme of things. Cursed petite bones :-)

Have an order going in at work for a limited edition version of this Accurist Skymaster http://www.watchshop.com/mens-accurist-london-chro...

Accurist = Sekonda = Japanese quartz movement that I know, any other observations on Accurist?

It won't be a daily wear, I have a choice for that already so will probably only wear it very infrequently. Probably worth adding to my collection for £95 though...

My girlfriend gave me an Accurist for my 18th, 30-odd years ago. I still have it (it wasn't taken when some scum stole my entire collection three months ago).
I really loved my Accurist. It didn't look like yours.

Not on my wrist yet but got one of these coming.

I know it could be understandably savaged for being a fashion brand beer budget AP Millenary clone, but a well finished day date 7750 for £350 has to be worth a punt.

That is a genuine rrp. I've come across these before searching on Chrono24. Popular in Germany it seems.
