Bought this a fortnight or so ago. Very much been on "the list" to get at some point.

Its a big lump, but I do like a bigger watch generally.

Amazing! How long did you have to wait for that?

Is the silver blob on the minute hand actually there or is it a trick of the light in that photo?
Picked it up from an auction on a bit of whim as it seemed to be going for what I think was a good price, but expected it to jump up past what I would be comfortable with. In the end I paid about £1,000 less than the cheapest private sale on Chrono24.. Supplied by Selfridges on Oxford St, with box & papers etc.

The 'blob: must have been something on the crystal. Made me panic for a minute....

That very watch was the start of a very slippery slope for me.

A fantastic purchase, it’s incredible. It looks brand new!

Ha Ha, sorry didn’t mean to get your heart rate up! Yeah must’ve been a speck of dust or something.

Great watch.

Love the colours, but just a tad too thick / deep to wear daily

Trying out a new strap for the Moser, very blue! It’s a Visconti caiman in blue with blue alcantara lining. Lovely thing but possibly a little too much!

A pop-up IWC boutique at Goodwood MM facilitated an unplanned (but very pleasing) purchase last weekend:

(My penance has been a week spent in airports, and seemingly endless underground carparks of Luxembourg).

That's a great looking thing. I popped in there just in case they brought the new portugieser eternal calendar and had a chat. I came out wondering how many people bought a significant watch on a whim in such a pop up.... You've answered my question!

Of course - SARX055. There was a steel version after this, not sure of the number, but it'll likely come up from a googling.

I'm as surprised as anyone that I went shopping last weekend! I have always liked IWC Pilot's watches (in particular the ceramic (1)) ones and am increaisngly uncomfortable wearing a Rolex in London (had a few experiences recently when it was made quite clear people were watching what I was wearing which is quite unnerving even, for a 120kg (okay, ++) 1.93m lump, such as I am, in a populated and public space).

I blame my wife for suggesting we had a look in the pop-up...and after the most gentle and sensible retail experience, all concatenated into shopping.

(1) ..and most people will think, as it's blue, it's a Moonswatch or similar which delights me.

Well done her! My financial controller would have done exactly the opposite and I would probably have been walking home if I had done the same. Enjoy the watch
