The 35mm PRX is very dinky in the flesh. My wife has one and even with her tiny wrists it looks fine, so would imagine it being a bit silly on anyone bigger. Each to their own though of course.

The Christopher Ward Twelve offers a similar aesthetic but with a better quality bracelet, movement and finishing for not much more than a Powermatic PRX.

I agree to your findings except for that, but I would love to see where you got those prices. Here the MSRP of the 35mm PRX Powermatic is 775 EUR, while the CW is 1350 EUR.

Other people's idea of dinky and mine differ.

I am 14 stone and the biggest watch I wear is 37mm. The smallest 33.

If it looked like this marketing shot I'd be up for one.

Fair enough. Just checked and in the UK the PRX is £650 and the Twelve £1050 so a decent uplift. Depends on how much £400 means to an individual I suppose, but I'd suggest it's well worth it personally.

TBH if I was after a PRX I'd look at the used market. Lots of Powermatics available for £3-400, or if just as a daily beater the quartz version can be picked up for £250 brand new which is a real bargain.

Completely personal taste of course.

For reference here's an example shot of my wifes 35mm PRX next to my 42mm Alpiner. I can't put it on properly as my hand is too big. smile

Can you take off the bigger watch and show me the PRX on its own please?

As above, as it's been sized down for my wifes little wrist I can't actually get it on so you'll have to put up with it balanced in top. smile

nd yes, she needs to reset the date..

ETA - My wrists are 20cm (7.9") BTW.

My pleasure. All subjective of course, to me it looks ridiculous but then all my watches range from 40-46mm.

I reckon an Oysterquartz would be better sized but you aint getting one of those at Tissot money. The hands and tapisserie dial though, I know you shouldn't care but I'd still feel a bit of an AP fraud about the whole thing.

If that's the case, there is a whole lot of fraud going on from every man and his dog from Hermes downwards. They've all got a bit of Genta-rification about some of their watches.

OP41 incoming .... only waited approx 2yrs for this.
(hate to think how many RRP increases have happened since then).

Starting again as my prev AD closed shop so this is the first with new AD.
Still waiting for a Skydweller as I had asked for that as well ... start saving now for another 2yrs roflroflrofl

Who knows what colour they wil have available - perhaps the mint colour will be superseded and not be in as much demand...

Good looking watch, looks sized about right on that wrist. My recent Omega was slightly smaller and it never occurred to me that others might think it small!

Agreed, but this is the slippery slope that leads us to Grand Seiko or even Vacheron Constantin hehe

The 35mm PRX is better proportioned than the 40 I think.

I am really tempted by one.

I suspect I can get 20% off retail. That’s a lot of watch for the money.

Anyone know how servicing works? The price of most Swiss watch services would exceed the price of the watch!
