Has the Rolex bubble finally burst? Perhaps it has

I do like that on the "wrist check" thread, paying another poster a compliment about their choice of watch is a normal, and accepted part of life.
Yet on the Rolex thread, it's a sign of fawning and subservient sexual interest.
Thread delivers, yet again!
Yes but that thread is where watch fans nervously reassure each other that it’s not all ridiculous. Watches really do make a difference to your enjoyment of life, bringing the respect of your peers, and leading inevitably to career success and the ensnaring of many, many beautiful women. Nothing snaps knicker-elastic like a 116745 or a 114370.Yet on the Rolex thread, it's a sign of fawning and subservient sexual interest.
Thread delivers, yet again!
Whereas this thread knows it’s all ridiculous and just waits pike-like for pretentious fresh meat to mock. And for what benefit?
Both have their place in keeping us pointlessly occupied whilst death draws nigh.
I may be feeling somewhat morose.

Did we ever find out exactly what a 'H neck' is/was?
If you have to ask then you can’t afford one.Am I doing this right?
By pure chance I received a message today that the AD I use is getting the first one in for over a year and asked if I wanted it.
After pondering for about half a second I decided yes.

Years ago I used to always associate a 'bluesy' with guys that were scrap yard owners but in the last wee while I think they are a really stunning watch.

Correct decision - looks good, even on my skinny wrist! By pure chance I received a message today that the AD I use is getting the first one in for over a year and asked if I wanted it.

Having spent too much time on watch forums reading so much Rolex negativity here is my conclusion…..
Stages of buying
1. Go into AD and liking a certain model.
2. Get told that it’s not possible to buy today but welcome to register an interest.
3. Register interest and leave store.
4. Read Forums and over time get a bit resentful about not getting watch/having to wait.
5. Find reasons to not like Rolex as a brand and even the watch that interest has been registered in. Post negative comments about the ‘process of buying’ being a totally joke/no longer want watch.
6. Get call from AD and instantly say yes please.
For those with ‘history’ start at 3 and jump to 6 after an acceptable wait for something that is high demand and worth a premium.

I tried a display model on last summer at my wife’s insistence. Wasn’t expecting to be so blown away. It’s just the best looking Sub ever and wears perfectly for me. I’m still waiting for mine 😤981SPYGANG said:
