I owned one of those - incredible movement and finishing of the whole package. It was just too big on me, it's 45mm and wears like it. Gorgeous piece though, well done!
No wtry and get a 23mm strap for it... Mine came with the rubber-lined black patent leather and it was horrible, the rubber you have is a big improvement!
Is it a 'Baumgartner' edition?

Well, I`ve pulled the trigger.
No ifs no buts and no maybes. Not `quite` in the line up but there you go. I checked out the IWC, a Sub C, a Master GMTII and the Zenith Stratos Chrono. I went from one dealer to the next and on entrance on the last I saw the below and `BANG!` , eyes, wide open and pulse up. On the wrist, that was it. I`m smitten. fk resale.

That is a fabulous watch. I spent nearly two months meandering between this, the IWC Aquatimer Chronograph Charles Darwin, and another choice. I'd wander between three jewellers, ratcheting down the price until I had my treble choice exactly where I needed them - price-wise.No ifs no buts and no maybes. Then I did more research into the Stratos(es)/Stratii, and confused myself by really wanting to see the black Alchron version to compare. One of the sales team took a few days to get it in, but when they did, I was gently underwhelmed. My initial thinking was that the Alchron would only add lustre to an already lovely watch.
I was wrong. The standard Stratos is far nicer and a great example of a watch where the pictures on the Internet or in a magazine do not do it justice. It looks far more beautiful and alluring in the hand. It has real depth to it visually that means that you'll enjoy it aesthetically for a long time. The new bracelet design for the Stratos is excellent and really adds to it's presence, but the rubber strap is sublime.
The new Stratos is a gorgeous watch and Zenith nailed the design for the refresh. It has many wonderful features, but you don't get more for your 'moneyshot' than that sterling movement, the squared-off pushers and the gently-inclined bezel.
It's a classic.
Beautiful watch, congrats OP on choosing a very fine piece - chapeau!!!
I love Zenith and am considering a Captain El Primero chrono, but worried about the future direction of the company, in particular due to the recent launch of a bought in movement watch (Port Royal) and the ludicrous Rolling Stones special edition.

Not sure if you're serious with the Defy range. They are an atrocity
A combination of the above mentioned Port Royal and Rolling Stones pieces, plus the relentless open heart variations all make me worry about the future for Zenith. Hope I'm wrong though and I'd still like one of their three-handlers from the Captain range, or a Captain El Primero.
