What watch for £50
Discussion
I've currently got several cheap digital watches and am after something a little bit nicer for Christmas.
Thing is the budget is only £50 so no gold-plated chronowotsits or fancy brands.
I am quite tempted by this Casio advertised in the Torygraph;

I'm sure someone here could do better I am thinking about a stainless steel analogue watch but am open to any other styles.

Might be absolute crap but it's 50mm, clean lines and only £50.
Hows about this tidy Timberland?

A snip at £48.99 or so.

A Citizen ecodrive from Argos (currently have a few for under £70) or something like this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Aeromatic-worldtime-watch-au... or this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Aeromatic-automatic-retro-de...

That looks like a hell of a lot of a watch for the moneyIt's either circa £40 plus p&p from Singapore on the 'bay or circa £60 from a UK reseller From the 'bay who's marked it up for postage and customs from Asia, there is a slightly different dial version for the UK market but can't remember the model code.
I've got two arriving in a day or two for my two boys Xmas presents.
It is 37mm so slightly smaller than a usual 41mm size but again, the uk version may be bigger.

Alpha Planet Ocean-alike. Chinese automatic movement. 63USD = 39GBP. Turn down their offer of postal insurance.

This guy customises Seiko 5s, if you're interested in a different look - nice work I think, and not to much more than normal retail:

If you look here you'll find what you are looking for. Seiko, one of the best makers in the world, and not dear. That is if an automatic is what you want, and not quartz
