Patek V Brequet
Discussion
I have the option on a pre owned 2007 Patek Aquanaut 5066A with box no papers. However watch just been serviced by Patek and is from a reputable high end jewelers.
Other choice is a brand new Brequet Marine large date with black face.
Love both of them, just undecided both are around the same money gave or take £500.00
Even though the Patek as just been serviced am unsure on lack of other history on a 10 year old watch.
Appreciate opinions.

Hi
Thanks for the nice comments, yes came in a nice wooden Breguet box with loads of paperwork.I have also found the form to send to Breguet to have you name registered in their owners book.
The first picture shows the watch in a Rapport watch winder I have just purchased.
I believe they just require a service every 3 to 4 years according to the manual.

Despite being a Marine, I don't swim or shower with it, I also don't take it on holiday with me. The reason being that I have this peculiar theory that gold watches with gold workings probably shouldn't get hot (gold being a brilliant conductor of heat). It's my theory. Such as it is. And mine alone. Ahem!
Mine keeps superb time and the last service cost £800. Ouch! And it took forever. But that's the same with any of the top makes....
I reckon you will be very happily married to your Breguet for many years to come. Super watch, top quality.
PS - not sure if you ever remember the story (I posted it on PH many years ago), but I fell out of my boat at high speed a few years ago and lost my Breguet Marine in the Solent. It's still down there somewhere. So mine (pictured above) is a replacement.
