IWC Auto 7 Day problem
Discussion
I bought myself a lovely IWC Port 7 Day Auto 5 months ago. It's been worn almost daily since then and has been faultless. I always take it off at night, it sits on the bedside table. The other morning I noticed even though it was showing full power reserve it had stopped. Given a gentle shake it came back to life but only for 15mins then stopped again. Now it just doesn't run.
I've returned it to the supplier who advised it's very strange for a watch of this quality to fail.
Question is, am I on my own here or is it reasonable to expect a £6k watch to last a few months?
It's never left near anything magnetic and isn't worn when doing anything active where it might get a knock.
As you can imagine I'm not very impressed.......

Will be replaced or reapired under warranty, assuming you bought it from a kosher source.
Kosher source is my only worry, they were not an authorised dealer. But have agreed it is thier problem and will rectify the situation. I'm assuming they are kosher as they only deal in new & used high end watches. In the current climate though, I'm a little concerned.
Thanks for the replies guys, it seems my oringinal fears regarding warranty may have become a reality
The warranty card has the serial number etc on but no dealer stamp. This is why I returned it to the supplier. I also queried why the card had not been dated and stamped, they agreed to sort that too.
I'm beginning to feel like I bought an MC without a running in service!! Seemed like a good idea at the time. Fingers crossed it will get sorted.
Seb d - hope you get one soon, I'm missing it already. Currently slumming it with my 3717
