Top spots as ever James.
I saw a Stobart unit on the M42 yesterday called "Poppy 90" - I can't remember the story behind the name but I'm sure I've read it somewhere - can you recall?

Yeah Poppy 90 was named for the British Legion. She was featured on the telly not long covered in poppies and wreaths etc, as they had it come along to a veterans/soldiers do somewhere. Made their day!

I've spotted her a couple of times too, H4856 is her fleet number. Runs out of Sherburn

Do you ever see any Drummond units from Scotland?
We have a very nice Scania one call in for a collection every day, I'll get a photo![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)
I *might* have done, i do see a few Scottish rigs from time to time (some of them are spot on! I snapped a P&C Hamilton (Girvan based) DAf XF95 yesterday morning!) Please do snap it and post it mate, would love to see it We have a very nice Scania one call in for a collection every day, I'll get a photo

Hahaha yeah very similar!
However, Drummond were running in the 1920's in those colours, Stobart didn't start up until the 70's.
The photo in the side of the cab you can just see is a pic of one of their very old trucks that's has been restored, apparently they've got a fleet of some of their oldest trucks, I'd love to see that!

I immediately thought it was an ex ESL unit too! You do see a few of their ex Scanias and Volvos running around in the decom livery quite often. WH Malcolm had a few old ex Stobart R420s just recently that they put their own very basic livery on! (I found that very cheeky! Their own fully liveried Scanias are stunning too) SG Haulage out of Stevenage have had a few too.
I think Stobart send a lot more of their older units over to carry on working in Ireland now which is a much better form of recycling IMO!
Speaking of Scots fleets, i had a stunning looking A.Campbell R560 Topline with a Walking Floor go past me on the A1 southbound yesterday evening, ran out of Garstairs just over the border IIRC. Looked spot on! -

Malcolm's have Scanias? Didn't know that.Useless Fun Bus fact time: My wife to be has an Aunt and Uncle who live in a small village just outside of Glasgow. In the next village used to live old man Malcolm, the founder of Malcolm group. Some of the family still live there.

I haven't seen one of these for a while. That intake of TGXs they recently acquired must have been enormous as their old Volvos are thinner on the ground now too i've noticed!...
Heres one of their blatantly obvious ex Eddies! -

There were members of the Malcolm family at Truckfest IIRC. That big 8x4 FH16 they had on display is Euan Malcolms personal rig i was told!

Not seen one from that company before... Looks like its Spanish reg'd tho'. Primafrio are one of the best Spanish (Continental even by and large!) fleets to look out for that regularly turn up over here IMO, they run a few R730s among their many R500 units! -

A truck like the 730 is a bit wasted on fridge work! (I heard somewhere that they can buy them as cheap as the smaller V8s on the continent or something though IIRC) Smart fleet though.
