There was a massive crane headed north this morning with a full escort - one of those that starred on the recent telly programme
Ainscough? Very smart fleet of heavy cranes and ballast wagons they run. Think they operate a Demag just like the one I posted the other day too along with several other big beasts running from 300-1200 ton tonyvid said:

Spotted , did you get home before the rain?
Helooo
I agree with Sam, a mild spell of drizzle at most that was lol!
I wouldn't have gone away anyway, I've been out in much worse. Was very productive out there this afternoon also, caught a couple of decent wagons I needed for pics!...

Spotted James again today
Hi Sam
What do you mean it wasn't raining!! It must have been created by the down draft from the National Grid helicopter

I got a couple of shots of that chopper. A lot of the local yokels thought it was a police chopper on a manhunt lol! (Made a change for it NOT to be a copper chopper round here lol!...)
See my Flickr for the new pics

Yaris spotted on Sunday outside the pub! Were you in the pub or Dominos?
Stalkertastic lol! Was in both at one point. Had a couple of swift halves in the Sun whilst waiting for Domino's to knock up my tea!

Spotted Monday and today anything good on the roads today James?
Yeah, Monday was pretty productive! - One of Stobarts most well known pairings due to the TV show. Nice spot for me for Mark Dixon and the new Phoebe Grace in the wild!
Nice to see more 14 registrations coming on stream now. Very smart new Chennells Farms XF116 (My current fave tractor unit)
Easily one of the biggest cranes I've seen and photted on the road in a little while, Sarens Terex AC-700 Demag (750t) pure beast!
This was a peach of a motor! Can't be many 6x4 double drive Foden Alphas on the road now, especially aslo fitted with a 50+t HIAB, but this is one. Operated locally too by Frank Ratcliffe & Sons (Do a lot of heavy recovery work mainly)
Feel free to check the Flickr link on my profile for all the others too. More from today going up later

Seems weird to look at most of those cranes and recognise them straight away from work!
If I remember rightly they had a couple of 750s putting up the Biggleswade wind farm, another one that was green from James Jack Lifting, part of Ainscough.
Hopefully you'll see this 764 on the back of a lorry soon, it's just had a track refurb and I suspect will be hired out in the next month or two.
