Car Meet - St Neots - Saturday 6 Feb @ 10am
Discussion

As per 'I Am Milk's suggestion, a bunch of PHers and likeminded petrolheads have organised a little car meet in St Neots at Riverside Car Park, 10am this Saturday. This is the first meet and we'll gauge interest levels and decide whether to keep it Saturdays or switch to Sundays, and make the meet the first Sat or Sun of each month.

The Ambiance Cafe in the same car park cafe serves coffee, snacks, lunch etc, open from 9am. If your car is ultra low you will need to be careful coming up into the carpark as there is a slope, but it's no problem for a Ferrari 360/430 to get in and out.
It is a P&D car park, 40p or 60p an hour I think, so bring some change.
All are welcome no matter what you drive.
Current attendees listed below, please add your name if you'd like to come along, or just turn up on the day.
Offshoreeddy - Ferrari 360 or Ferrari 430
MattNovak - Maserati Gran Turismo and / or Porsche 987 Boxster
feef - Citroen C6 or Supercharged MX5
Forthright MC - Wandering
sandysinclair - Murcielago
FairfieldSteve - TVR Chimaera
Thurbs - M5
I Am Milk - Cobra or Mini Cooper S
LewG - Chimaera or XJR

Yep thanks to everyone who turned up today and braved the wind, rain and the cold.
I think the general consensus was a move to Sundays would be preferable by the majority, having had a quick chat with most people this morning. On that basis, we'll provisionally say the next day for a meet will be Sunday, March 6th at the same place, Riverside Car Park. I'll start a thread for that shortly unless there is a raft of objections?
EDIT: sorry feef, didn't see your post further up about this same thing

Good to meet you all on Saturday, there was some lovely cars on display. Great to see the red 205GTI too, that was a bedroom poster car for me as an 80's child!
Also, you may remember that I was driving up to Manchester later that morning... well, this happened on the way back:
After shelling out for a 150 mile recovery (the above pic was on the M62 somewhere in darkest Yorkshire), it's now safely at Barr Tech for a new water pump, belt, coolant etc.
Sorry to hear that. Collecting my 430 from there next Tuesday. Also, you may remember that I was driving up to Manchester later that morning... well, this happened on the way back:

Never have I been so happy to shell out some cash - was 'only' the water pump. Was worried that it may have blown a gasket or even worse, warped the head(s).
offshoreeddy - I had a look for your 430 but must've been in the workshop someplace. Think I'll pick mine up on Monday, bit of an outside chance but if you're picking up yours on the same day we can have a blat down the 428
Yeah it's in the middle block of garages, there's a Gallardo in there too; had Tracker fitted yesterday but it also needs new tyre pressure monitor something-or-others, which won't be in now until Wednesday so I can't collect it until Thursday now.offshoreeddy - I had a look for your 430 but must've been in the workshop someplace.
