Just reading @CWHM and they're saying the tour could be extended
"Lanc Tour Update: The tour may be extended to Sept, with details including Middleton St.George and East Kirkby still coming. #Lanc2UK"

Shame Duxford hasn't been fitted in yet.

Thanks - next time I think I may need to read more than 1 page of a thread

There's no airshows at Duxford during the time that the lancaster is visiting. Shame Duxford hasn't been fitted in yet.
The Lanc is due to be here until at least the middle of September which co-incides nicely with the Duxford airshow on 13/14th September (also Battle of Britain Day)
I'd be very suprised if they didn't do the Sept airshow before they leave, although as with anything you wont know until closer to the time...

I have heard rumours of the possibility of extending however I would expect your starting to get into the not great weather area for the transit back.
Yep, CWHM have already raised the idea of an extension, and with the Duxford Airshow right on the edge of their current tour, I am hoping to see them announce something for then. But you are right about the weather for the flight back, it is the start of hurricane season September onwards. Will keep an eye on the BBMF and CWHM's feedsMutley said:

The sight of one Lancaster coming in from over the sea gives you goosebumps, it seems so slow and majestic compared with the newer planes and the noise it makes..
Have been on the beach and up on the cliffs and an amazing site every time. cannot wait to see the both of them and flanked with the rest of BBMF
