Maybe more "inaccurate" than "cool", but it made me smile nevertheless.

This USAF E-3G Sentry has flown all the way from Oklahoma to Poland. So the Americans now have an E-3 Sentry, E-8 Joint Stars, KC-135 Stratotanker and RC-135 Rivet Joint all flying in the area at the moment. That must be pretty close to a full suit of military 707 variants.

Logo is on the tail. It belongs to Ineos/Sir Jim Ratcliffe. They’ve got a few with M registrations that don’t really relate to their business including M-USIC, M-INTY and M-AMBA. M-AJOR and M-INOR used to be on jets but are now on two of their helicopters.

Edit to add two more that I’d forgotten.

@lotusomega yes agree Radcliffe has made loads of the stuff. I note his Defender knock off has a Union Jack on it, yet assembled in France with a German Engine …

Back to this thread proper.

Two RAF Typhoons escorting a RAF A332 Tanker come Transport aircraft from Jordan back to their Cyrus base.

Are these flights usually a training thing or is there likely to be something going on? NPAS helicopter is fairly close by so surprised to see this?

Would love to be able to make time to go and see these types do touch and goes aswell, always seem to miss them!

Why are there so many helicopters over my house right now . Since last Friday every night about 8 or so a few mins apart . First one just gone now as a write . Nothing on the flight app shows we have all looked now . They don't show up. Storrington. West Sussex.

Big helicopters loud even though not immediately overhead , slow moving too.

The Police aeroplane is used for longer surveillance, or less obvious as its higher altitude (as far as I'm aware)

Each night from Friday night. I was not here Sunday night so not sure .
It may be one aircraft doing a very big circle, perhaps Police as suggested above .

I did see that on the ground and then depart and thought it was a bit strange. Bit of sightseeing in the Cotswolds? smile

Not sure you could describe this as ‘cool’, but playing around with the app as I do and spotted this. Unusual route, no?
