Anyone any ideas what's going on at Glasgow and Edinburgh airports?

I'd be surprised if it's weather related, we're under the approach into Edinburgh at the moment and it's nice clear blue skies, pretty much zero wind.

The Reykjavik flight looks to have a go around at Glasgow, the Seville flight has aborted Edinburgh and landed in Prestwick, and lots of others in holding, unusual.

Later edit: there now seem to be repatriation flights to bring them to their intended Edinburgh destination.

Interesting about Edinburgh and Glasgow. Usually keeping an eye on Edinburgh as also below the flight path. If going over Fife.

This looks an interesting one. Goose11

It's sister has spent the day around Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania.

There were 3 KC 135s circling round Aberdeen earlier today as well.

Qatari Typhoons have been given the same hex codes as a load of ground vehicles at Doha airport. They are all miscoded but the Qatari mil and civilian authorities don't talk to each other, so this kind of thing is the result. Nothing you can do. You either have ground vehicle icons doing 500 mph at 25,000 ft, or Doha international airport filled with about 50 different fighter jet icons all trundling around the ramp and taxiways at 20 mph hehe .

Close might be a stretch - I’m certainly at the cheaper end of town! biggrin But I’m not used to low flying helicopters overhead…

Two large military aircraft passed at a very low level over the A34 near Highclere this afternoon around 5.35pm. Gave me quite a shock. I don't use FlightRadar, so maybe someone could take a look?

A rare sight in UK skies.

A Lauda A320. Can’t recall the last time I saw a Lauda flight in the UK.

No doubt I will be inundated with sightings!!!

Pretty sure I've seen them on the ground at either Luton or Stansted, forget which, a couple of times.

Lauda are part of the Ryanair group - IIRC they operated a summer season from Bournemouth last year.

I seem to remember seeing a story the one used in the Lakes had crashed not long after.

ETA: Seems the crash story is a mistake in my brain, that particular heli is wtill flying.
