Scratch that I didn't notice the speed, bit fast for a sea king.![hehe](/inc/images/hehe.gif)
That one may not be a Sea King, but down in Portland is a company called HeliOperations. They've been flying a couple of Sea Kings over the last few years providing SAR training to the Federal German Navy. I think some of their Sea Kings are the ones that are now in Ukraine, but they also have a couple of other sites, one for the storage of spare airframes and parts, and refurbishment/maintenance of their flying examples, another at Culdrose where they operate a Sea King simulator. As I understand it, they may be providing more Sea Kings to Ukraine as they become available... https://helioperations.co/somerton![](https://thumbsnap.com/sc/pBc149Jq.jpg)

Hex 407D83 belongs to the Draken L-159 G-DKND. The Sea King is assigned 407D8C but I think it last flew miscoded with 407D83 so it appears that someone has put that into the ADSBexchange database. There are 2 databases that provide hex tie-up info. I've checked the primary one and the Draken is showing there, so the Sea King is coming from ADSBexchange's own internal db and so unlikely to get changed now they've been sold to PE companies.![](https://thumbsnap.com/sc/pBc149Jq.jpg)

I like a bit of flightradar geekery. I live a few miles from Heathrow and often check it out if something interesting happens, like a go-around (very obvious to me because I am not on any usual take-off flight path, so if I hear something roar overhead on full afterburners I know something is up).
I'm not sure you'll get much afterburner action out of Heathrow.andyA700 said:
Lancaster heading South, now over Diss.
Headed to over to Den Ham for a memorial to pilot Les Knight. Les had flown on the Dambusters Raid and his crew had successfully breached the Eder Dam. On a later operation he sacrificed his life remaining at the controls so that his crew could all bail out of their damaged Lancaster . It crashed at Den Ham.Fortunate to be going (albeit an hour late) as it was U/S last night, engineers worked through the night to fix her
