This A400M just went past my window a fair bit lower than the 10,000 ft that they usually fly over at!

It really is quite something when you see them as low as that.

I don’t know what it was as I was inside but an RAF jet of some sort just flew very, very low over our house….we live in North Bucks. Never see anything like that round here. Flight path was heading North….I guess that would be back towards RAF Conningsby from London

Seems like he was flying quite high when he went past me. Look at him now: eek

My wife got buzzed by one of those at 1000ft the other day on her way home from work. Had to find it on FR playback as she couldnt describe it for st. Said it was a fighter plane

He just came almost directly over me at ~500ft. I was on a Zoom call, and the other people probably wondered why I was staring blankly into the distance...

Yes it’s nuts. He flew across the countryside by us at an indicated 175ft. To put that into perspective, the church spire next door is 172ft tall. Very impressive to fly it at such low level for so long.

I wonder if it smells different to regular jet fuel? All large airports have that heady smell when you head out onto the apron.

Unusual flight path! Took off from Teeside, landed at Liverpool.

Any thoughts on what it was doing?

Tricky without a callsign or time frame, but I'd imagine survey work or flight checking perhaps.
