Our pair should be two minutes after the Lanc if I remember correctly - there has to be a bit of space in there because of the speed differentials involved smile
Wings back to 67? biggrin

Its three runs for both the Tornados and the Lanc isn't it?

We are definitely still planning to do the flypast tomorrow - I'm sat authorising another flypast as we speak! And the jets down near Ladybower/Chatsworth yesterday and Monday were us too; practising but also positioning down to Coningsby smile

You aren't wrong about the weather last week - went down the Dams on Thursday in our freshly-painted tailart jet and the met was awful!
Great! are you straight after the lancaster? I wonder if Lloydh will be there with his camera?
Should be there!

Excellent - where will you be? We're heading for Pike Low, the hillside adjacent to the East tower.
Sorry only just seen this!

Pleased with one or two Lancaster shots but they're not as good as I'd have wanted, Tornado shots are bloody naff weeping

Great photos all, thanks.

Just watched a bit of the BBC 2 programme with the Lancaster flying over the dam - I was very surprised how the Lancaster could do, what looked to me, very tight turns.

Not long been home from an epic trip today. Have had a quick look through mine.

Lloyd, your images are great as always

The merlins almost were drowned out by what seemed like 1000 shutters all going off at once

Ta Perdu (and +1) As always I was torm between watching with my own eyes or through a viewfinder. It's days like today that I wish I had a DSLR. Unfortunately there aren't enough days like today to justify the cost...

Got there at 12.50 around 300yds from the bridge towards Glossop then bailed over the fence towards the shoreline. Good view considering.
I couldn't believe how busy it was TBH. But it worked to our advantage as a HGV was stuck getting through. Quick 3 point turn (well 5)and I had an empty road back over the tops.
Shame I was in a Passat.

I've enjoyed the BBC's coverage this evening too. Infact I'm listening to running commentary on BBC Lincolnshire (Inc dodgy tunes)right now.

Well done and thank you to all those involved.

P.s After the Tonka's had done their flypast the water really lapped the shoreline. Would the thrust/air displacement caused this?

How come the the two hatches forward of the mid-upper turret are always open on the Lancaster ?

I was just wondering that too. I think it's to make the Airfix kits come with places to attach fishing line when you pin them to a bedroom ceiling hehe

Stunning shots people, I wish I could have made it down to see.

I think they were originally escape hatches, they probably open them when it's hot like a sunroof!

That is showing not available frown
I am hoping to see them again tomorrow on the Spalding, Lyddington(Rutland??) Faldingworth run. It sounded like the tornados were high over Burghly House yesterday about 3.30 -3.30pm.
