Thanks - she's not the quickest, and is a pig in astern being a long keel with bilge plates but I like her, and yes - my first boat!
She's a MG design made in 1980, plywood sheathed, and the first 26 foot version out of the mould. Been in the family since I was little, so I know my way around her sailing wise. As you say though, always something that needs doing, and a swift learning curve on the maintenance/ownership side I suspect!
