Seems a bit naive to post a clip on social media that basically shows a slightly naughty private performance by a pilot having fun - that's the way things get stopped and ruined for everyone. Silly girl.
It’s not a private performance it’s at one of the most well known places for people to photograph military aircraft in the U.K.It’s pretty much the last place you could expect to get away with breaking any rules.
You'd think that she'd just videoed the latest classified next gen stealth bomber test flying at Area 51, shot from looking over the crest of the Nevada desert mountains from the way these "veteran loopers" are banging on about this Typhoon.

Pilots have been showing off there to one degree or another for years, the only difference being people have showed constraint publishing the clips, and when they have it's been on YT and not twitter.Lemming Train said:

Oh well.. That makes it alright then I guess. Lemming Train said:

It's entirely understandable. They're diehard loopers and they fear the publicity will adversely affect the flying there. Similar thing happened with the EVO triangle - as soon as it got heavily publicised idiots that thought they could drive travelled there from all over the country and got caught speeding. Now there's cameras and it's pretty much ruined. Tony1963 said:

I did convince a particularly angry and vocal chap that Trump was visiting the U.K. by posting up an image of Flightradar24, with a crude photoshop of Air Force One flying from the USA to the U.K. He rushed to Heathrow with a group of protesters
Although sadly, he defriended me on Facebook

Selective quoting I know (so sue me ) but if 'they' hadn't made such a fuss in the first place, it would have faded away into the background and everyone would have forgotten about it in a day or two. Collectively, they ought to be looking in the mirror if they feel they need to find somebody to blame for anything that might happen.Up until this week, I had no idea what the mach loop was and had to Google it to find out - I assumed that mach related to speed, not that it was an abbreviation of the location

Exactly my point. If the fool hadn't posted the clip on twitter in the first place none of this would have happened, including the reaction of the diehard loopers which may/may not be OTT, because there would have been no general publicity.kapiteinlangzaam said:
Let's clear this up.
The person who posted the clip is not a fool.
The reaction of the immature and frankly pathetic people on Twitter is definitely, without doubt OTT.
I would be embarrassed to have anything to do with it. Grown men acting like pathetic babies.
Irony encapsulated. The person who posted the clip is not a fool.

Exactly. Even raf pilots using the loop have defended the poster on Twitter and criticised these “veteran looper” idiotsThe person who posted the clip is not a fool.

As some have mentioned, it was the response from loopers that really kicked this all off and the reason it's ended up on forums etc.
They're blaming her for breaking an unwritten rule to avoid publicity of the sorts of things that go on there, but doing so in such an aggressive manner that they've managed to bring a whole heap of publicity on themselves and the location. They really have shot themselves in the foot with their incredibly self important policing of their secret squirrel club rules.
One only has to stray into an area heavily populated by these guys (and they are all guys, of a certain age too) at an event like RIAT to get a sense of their disdain of the general public at 'their' events.
