Besides its not like we'll ever be fighting the Russians or Chinese but bombing men in huts and caves in countries people can't spell who've only go sharpened fruit to hurl back at us! (given our recent "victories")
True. We could do that with Hawker biplanes just like the old days!

I shall be aqcuainting myself with HMS Queen Elizabeth next month when I have my first tour of LB02, the block being built in Pompey. I can't wait.

That was one hell of an evolution, must be impressive to see it being put on the barge (and a nervous moment too I expect).

I am waiting for 'our media' releases of it, but you would be surprised how much of it happens all of the time, bigger, heavier, round the world.

Cheers mate, first time I've seen those vids, I saw the one on our intranet about the move and the charity bike ride that accompanied LB03.

First time I've seen any imagery of the CV landing too, none of that stuff has passed our desks yet.

I've got a time lapse video of it here(it took a few hours, you wouldn't want to watch it in real time) but unfortunately i can't post it.
Are you in the ACA doogz? It may find it's way onto the SDE eventually if so.

I am, are you? If you can access the BAE Surface Ships intranet, it's on there.

If i could figure out how to save it, i could fileshare it via SDE.
Hi doogz, yeah, I'm Mission Systems (both ACA and BAe), I can see your intranet, Have flound the time lapse video now, just waiting for it to load. smile
Cheers

To be frank, have moved bigger breakfasts wink

We have a skid loadout on to a barge coming up in 2013 of 50,000Te - to put in perspective the Block for HMS weighed only 7,349.47Te
(we weighed it)

The pumping set up for that will fill an Olympic swimming pool in under 5 minutes. biggrin
That is awsome mate, those pumps etc to ensure it stays level with the dock are fantastic.
