It means not going up the mast to clear wine glassed kites, shouting for water and dodging J Boat bowsprits.

More time to lean against the mast and look at the view

But those are the fun bits. Why I always liked bow work. Way better than grinding

In the vid I linked to above, they said that with power regeneration off the shafts to charge the batteries they can get across the atlantic burning no fuel.

And yes, a 30 knot speed too apparently.
Of course, if you didn't want a tippy boat, you wouldn't buy a tippy boat - so I take the point about it might spill the G&T if you're not ready for it, but horses for courses etc. I love it, it's an epic yacht. I also like some of the Van Dam Woodcraft boats, but they're a not superyacht size.

One good aspect is that fuel consumption seems to be absolutely minimal. It says on google that it’ll cross the Atlantic with 20l of fuel due to a bunch of solar and wind powered generators. Pretty cool.

Tbh I would love to go on it but it’s not my idea of fun.

It went chugging past this evening, not a lot of sail on display laugh bet it was using a fair bit of fuel, traveling at a good few knots. On its way to Iceland apparently. Sorry it’s a crap picture it’s quite a long way to the bottom of the garden. smile
