A friend of min flies F35s out of Conningsby and is devastated. I gather it has hit the whole squadron really badly. The pilot is described as "one of the RAFs good guys". So very sad.
RIP.
Your friend does not fly F35’s out of Coningsby. RIP.
Of course a death will hit a squadron hard, you’re a family and as a squadron leader would have likely been a Typhoon flight commander so had line management responsibilities to the younger pilots. A very experienced guy. Who was also due to take over next year as OC BBMF again a senior role on the flight.

Either he fly's the Typhoon (from Coningsby or Lossiemouth) or the F-35 (from Marham)
