Couldn't find it on FR, but I swear I saw a Harvard (or another member of that NA family of trainers) coming over my house in Bournemouth last evening. It looked to be on a line from the Isle Of Wight to the western end of the runway at Hurn. Straight. level, and 'throatier' than the average modern aeroplane, but no "buzz saw" propeller noise.

I did suspect that the engine was smaller than that of a Harvard but the silhouette was familiar and it was all-over silver with a definite 'Star and Bar' under the right wing.
Yak 52 maybe?

Does anybody have any info in regards to this aircraft? Tried looking on ads-b exchange but it brought nothing up. Not often you see it with no information.

Thank you for the information and the link.
I find it more and more often I am grabbing my phone and seeing what is flying overhead. I live on the flight path inbound for Liverpool airport and also Manchester airport (they're a bit higher obviously)

Keep missing the RAF planes due to cloud coverage though.

I'm not sure if it's visible on the free accounts on FR24 but if you click on a plane and look down the left panel to 'data source - ads-b' you should see the ICAO24 bit hex address there. If you put that with your queries then they are easily identified. Note that mil and biz on FR are mostly blocked by default so will show 'n/a' there, so you have to look on other trackers like ADSBexchange (tar1090) (clicking on a plane will put the hex code in the URL bar). smile

ADSBx coverage isn't as good as FR24 so you may see something on FR24 that you can't ID so go to ADSBx, but it doesn't show there at all. That's usually because it's low level and not being picked up by any ADSBx feeders in your immediate vicinity. You can fix that by buying a cheap dongle and feeding to ADSBx for your area to improve coverage. biggrin Any readers here from Lincs, East Anglia and N Yorks that aren't already feeding to ADSBx should do so as the mil from all the air bases in those parts would be far better tracked without bitty and jagged tracks due to the current gaps in the coverage from feeders.

Possibly this one,

I live in Blandford, and Compton Abbas is pretty near, we get it over here quite regularly (not at the moment obviously).
It really does have a lovely sound and I always have a look up when I hear it coming.

Might be visual overhead of the UK in a bit.
AN225 En-route to Bangor.

Also, just heard it's doing Prestwick to France on Sunday, so another chance then if this does not pan out.

I am pretty sure BigJetTV is livestreaming the Antanov. 9/10 PH'ers prefer the volume down though.

That's almost certainly the right one. Cheers! The direction it was flying is spot on for Compton Abbas too. I found it's full history on this site... https://www.t6harvard.com/uk-harvards/g-dhhf/ ...including wartime service with both the USAAF and US Navy.

Snap! Well, almost. I was painting a summerhouse for my wife when the beast came right over my house. That must have been a freebie to wake everyone up, because then it did another circuit including a little waggle of the wings to show off the "Thank U NHS" on the underside. We live very close to the Royal Bournemouth Hospital.

The aircraft is John Romain's (PropShop) G-PRXI, appropriately a WW2 veteran Photo Reconassaince Spitfire serial PR 983... https://vintageaviationecho.com/spitfire-prxi-pl98...
