This 165ft vessel has been moored at Ocean village in Southampton for some time, belongs to Indian billionaire Vijay Mallya I believe.

Yep that’s him. He’s being investigated for numerous financial crimes and misconduct in India, they’re trying to extradite him back there. He lives in London currently. Not sure whether the boat has been seized or not, but it’s fabulous none the less!

A couple from the other day of Archimedes in Bristol. Very impressive, I've never been that close to a yacht of that size or price!

Indeed - and it's currently moored up in the Three Cities in Malta, I think I posted a picture back in the spring when we were out there for a long weekend.

Or, *you* go away and do something useful with your life. Like, making some money to help Bristol recover from it's apparent destitution post-2008. You could always become a "quant" yourselves and plough all your profit back into the city.

I hardly imagine that the boat owner thought "I know what, I'll motor down to Brizzle and really fk some poor people off". For all they know he might be there trying to improve their lot in some way. Bloody "anything for 15 mins of fame" idiots.

Love this reply:

“Do some carbon accounting how funny!

When his son died he purchased a 130 acre woodland to turn into a wildlife sanctuary in his name. He’s done more in that one act then both these environmental warriors could do in their lives

Please can I ask this climate protestors to do some research first, so that their rock solid positions are built on firm foundations.”

So she wants to improve the economy by wealthy people not redistributing their wealth to the entire superyacht build + service industry, given Abramovitch alone must have spent well north of a billion on his aquatic adventures I can't think of many things the wealthy could buy that enable them to give their money away as quickly.

Derrick Smith himself and family moored right next to our resorts private cove in Greece on his stunning boat Callisto one day this week.
Lots of toys too!
