BA747, G CIVL has just arrived at Kemble according to FR24. I’d assume that was its last flight, as most 747s that go there don’t fly out again.
I'd say so.
23 years of pretty constant service. A quick look over the last few months seems it was on between 10-12 hours flight time a day!

I have to be careful what I say here. But we can and do disappear even over Europe. I know it happens as we use the same websites that people are using here in our sqn ops room just to keep a track of where our aircraft are. I’m not going to say any more than that but rest assured we’re not going to advertise our position heading and thus possible destinations all the time.

VP-C is Cayman Islands. It's a tax haven, same as Bermuda (VP-B, VQ-B). You'll find them all over the world.
Wow - I never knew that! If it wasn’t a helicopter (ie corporate jet) I probably wouldn’t have queried it anyway. Can they be bought in the UK and then registered out there?

That link shows connections at Dubai into the currently suspended Emirates service, this is a direct service. It's also not on the airport arrivals board, though there is a KU1320 currently showing as checking in which is presumably the return journey.
I’ll revert back to your comment it’s bizarre laugh

Something happened in the Irish Sea?

A few coastguard helicopters out in what looks like a search pattern

Possibly - one of the helicopters has turned it into 2 flights a few minutes ago, with the 2nd starting mid- sea.

Just driven past Kemble and there’s a serious amount of plane spotters with ladders/cameras etc - anyone know what they’re expecting to see?
