Was just watching that one hoping it would have come a bit more West......might have gone outside to watch and have a listen.

Police and Crime Commissioner for West Yorkshire seems to be out on a Jolly....way off their 'beat' and having a lap of the M25 ?

How bizarre?
G-POLX (which this is) is usually based at Doncaster. Given how closely it seems to be to the M25, I wonder if it is picking up some sort of squawker on a patrol car. Or maybe it was following a specific target. Not unusual for it to go outside the county, much cheaper to operate than rotary wing and can stay up for far longer.

It’s a national asset although police aviation news is saying they’re up for the chop.

That must be awesome to see that regularly where you live.

I’m on the approach to a big airport and in the control zone so get nothing much other than normal airport traffic and the police etc hovering overhead before they can cross the runway centreline.

Possibly doesn't meet the "cool" threshold, but interesting to spot the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance heading straight across the runways at Gatwick.

Must be a fairly rare occurrence when Gatwick traffic is at normal levels.
