Lots of unidentified stuff up marked with CWL from waddington etc & a load of stuff with SYS markers too. anyone know what these are?
Usually denotes their base

CWL = Cranwell
SYS = Shawbury ( although they these use other call signs such as IRMINE / Maximise / Snitch as well )
BKH = Barkston Heath

SHF = Usually denotes Support Helicopter Fleet ( Chinooks , Pumas ) but they use others as well.

I am sure there are others but these are the ones I see regularly
There's a Grob up at the moment out of Cranwell bucking the trend, with a WRBOY1 callsign.
Hence the usually wink - that frame has been busy today

Managed to do a screen shot of an aircraft exactly halfway between JFK and Dubai.

Interesting callsign.
7sqn chinooks have a formation callsign of Giver, so you’d have the formation lead as Giver 1!

I watched that one transit across UK and hour or so ago, heading down to take a drink from the Voyager. doing circuits off the North Devon coast.....

There were a couple of Typhoons buzzing around Mid-Wales as well.

The Voyager has now gone back too Brize & the Typhoons are going home to Coningsby.

Rumoured that the RAF have now been allowed back to the Mach Loop with Typhoons after their enforced absence.

Very noisy here on the edge of Salisbury Plain too, lots of jets and even a Herc, which used to be a many-times daily occurrence but is now a rare sight with them no longer being at Lyneham.

It's been quiet for most of winter here, probably the longest spell I can remember without significant activity (I'm on the edge of Keevil).

Could have filled up on the way possibly? Brize Norton posted this video of one of their Hercules filling up from a Voyager earlier in the week - https://twitter.com/RAFBrizeNorton/status/13616233...

Pretty sure its longer than 3800km

I've flown from Germany to Goose Bay in Canada non stop in one

RAF quote around 5000km as the ferry range

Very noisy right over the top of the house. Well sounded like it. Thought it was as A400 but Antonov instead!
