Landed now. Perhaps a smidge fast on final but nothing unusual

If you've got a flap issue, you're likely to be coming in faster.

Anyone got any ideas what this is doing? It's been buzzing around my house doing a similar route for the last couple of nights and doing my head in hehe

He's calibrating our ILS. Hasn't quite finished all the runs and is planned to be back on Friday night for about 90 mins more work.

That’s a regular in the skies and has been for many years. Part of the Empire Test Pilot School. Quite a fleet they have.

I'll do another data dump of all of my detected mil-spec stuff later for your perusal, if you're bored...

Why did they get Alpha Jets and not Hawks?

They have hawks as well.

It’s a big fleet:

Avro RJ
Alphajet
Hawk
Tucano
DA42
Tornado GR4
Learjet
Saab 340a
Hunter
Saab gripen
A320

Plus they have access to even more fixed wing like F18.

Then there’s the rotary list.

I remember watching in the distant past a program about the test pilot school, they flew lots of different aircraft because ultimately this is what they would be asked to do, new untested aircraft will come along and they would be tasked to test them, having experience of different aircrafts prepared them for this.
The work load on the course was incredibly, not only testing aircraft but writing reports, the program was a fantastic insight into the workings of the school.
