All these yank planes over here, do we have similar with RAF over there? Doubt it, is it just sheer numbers or the yanks using us as an outpost?
The RAF is indeed in the US; I have a family friend there right now in California at El Centro. The El Centro page says:
Every month, seven to 12 squadrons and up to 1,600 personnel train here. Additionally, U.S. Air Force parachutists, U.S. Navy SEAL's, Army Green Berets, and British, French, German and Italian aviators visit for various phases of their training.

But we (UK) don't occupy complete airbases like the USA do over here. We're basically a static aircraft carrier for operations in Europe and the Baltic, a bit like Germany is (or was) for the US Army. All remnants from WWII and the Cold War even though maybe some current bases weren't American during WWII.

Off the top of my head RAF Lakenheath, RAF Mildenhall, RAF Fairford and around 10 other lesser known ones. Amusingly still called 'RAF Wherever' as I guess the land is still 'ours'.
That's true - the UK, Germany, Spain and Italy are strategic bases for the US for their "interests" in places a few hours away. There are a lot less of those bases than there were. There are still UK bases globally but it's also ever decreasing. I think the current list is:
AFGHANISTAN
ASCENSION ISLAND
BAHRAIN
BELGIUM (SHAPE)
BELIZE (BATSUB)
BOSNIA
BRUNEI
CANADA
CYPRUS
DIEGO GARCIA
ESTONIA
FALKLAND ISLANDS
GERMANY
GIBRALTAR
IRAQ
KENYA
NEPAL
NIGERIA
POLAND
SOMALIA

See them a lot over Mk in summer. Usually a Virgin one. One came down in the kids playground once.
I was in my garden enjoying a few vinos in peace and quiet and one drifted over very low. tts on board were shouting at me. I shouted back, "fk off"

We generally just forward deploy to other nations bases. The Navy have in the last few years built a new base in Bahrain. https://www.forces.net/services/navy/inside-bigges...

Unusual/ rare ? visitor to Heathrow this morning.
I had just left Heathrow heading west when this came into view in front of me, by the time I had pulled over, this
was the best/only pic I could get.
I thought there was something about civil C-130's not being allowed in UK airspace?

I think it's just the UK register they aren't allowed on. Very unusual nevertheless.

That C-130 was at Heathrow on Saturday and this morning as well, day trips from Algiers.

Any idea why Aircraft flying into RAF St Mawgan Cornwall. Aren't showing up on Fight radar ? G7 is only couple of weeks time ?? White Airliner with red stripe was one of them?

Seems unlikely. I was under the impression they were domestic operations only?

FYI Mate just informed me that plane I saw this morning was Japanese Air Force One doing practice landing at St Mawgan prior to G7 summit. That's why didn't show up on Flight Radar...

Will be RAF VIP flight I expect. They have red (and blue) stripe.

Janet operate in US only - although they are very frequent flyers as all staff have to be flown to certain bases driving is not allowed (or really possible).

Edit to add that the "international" versions of Janet are the C40a/b and they (generally) have a blue stripe. Rare to see - although I did post about one a while back making regular late night flights to a certain UK base known to house some gentleman who like to play in boats..

It's a Qatar air force Typhoon. I saw it mooching about yesterday off the coast. The L39 is based at Blackpool.
