I doubt it unless that's the biggest plane that can get into Newquay? On presidential trips doesn't a 757 usually lead the way before the 747?

It's not ex-Soviet Navy. It's a Kamov KA-32 which is the civilianised variant of the Naval KA-27 NATO codename Helix.
OK, splitting hairs there...the machine was developed for the Soviet Navy and post-glasnost Kamov have found alternative markets.

It's still (a) a military helo by original purpose; and (b) bloody rare over here.

Just had this rather unusual beast fly over me!

Anyone know anything about this beast? Flew over the house yesterday at about 1,000ft and looked like it stopped in at Halfpenny Green Airport having come up from the south east coast.

Same thing overflew us at the weekend too...was stunned to see an ex-Soviet Navy helo bumbling overhead! cool
Flying over east Kent yesterday and today, apparently helping to lift pylons into place. Was funny to see it fly by with a huge cable trailing behind

Is that as an escort to AF1, does anyone know it’s arrival time into Mildenhall?
Local press is saying 8pm or thereabouts, so he’s barely taken off, if that’s to be believed.
Thank you, I’ll be watching our skies over a bbq then, which also means I might hear it coming!

Yes here he comes. Now between New York and Boston. That’s the 757 in front.

ZT645 (Boris' jet) is on the ground at Newquay, with this...

...P-8A Poseidon wandering about the area. That's got to be part of the security effort, surely? Or just the RAF sending aircraft to train in the area for the deterrent effect?

ETA:

US 'press corps' inbound from Washington to Newquay?

I doubt Delta Airlines has a regular scheduled A330-300 service from the US capital to a coastal holiday town in Cornwall.
Odd that it seems to have flown two loops out over the ocean though...

AF1 and the 757 seem to have dropped off ADSB now for Atlantic sector. Probably re-appear later nearer to Blighty.
