There’ll be a fair bit of that going on I should think. We just had this TUI 738 on a 20 min ‘road test’.

It’s a f’d up situation when all you can see on the screen is a Middle Eastern billionaires helicopter and 2 drones tracking migrants crossing the channel.

This has been doing the rounds (literally) here for the last while... stunning sight in that fire engine red. It took off from Duxford... any ideas what it is? We're a bit off the beaten track for the British Antarctic Survey!

Edit... surveying!

Looks like it's still theirs, seen it around the UK on FR24 quite a few times before.

Doesn't look like it's been in the Antarctic since the 2nd of Feb but looking at it's history it certainly gets around. Being the flight crew must be a pretty 'cool' gig!

It's winter in Antarctica, I imagine it comes back here when it's not required down there.

It used to be the case with GB registrations too, may still be the case. Colin Chapman of Lotus had G-PRIX on his plane, several commercial planes (e.g. Virgin) have / had 'personal' registrations.

JCB have a number of aircraft with M-JCBA, M-JCBB, etc. Lord Bamford currently on his commute from the Cotswolds to Uttoxeter in M-JCBA, a Sikorsky S-76-C.
Pretty much all the UK airlines do.
Jet2 use G-LSxx (IATA code for Jet2), G-JZxx (J2), G-GDFx (Good Deal Finder apparently), G-DRT (Dart group - parent company) and their Airbuses are G-HLYx (Holiday)
EasyJet are G-EZ, the A320/321 Neos are G-UZxx (U2 - IATA Code)
Even Ryanair are in on it - G-RUKx (Ryanair UK)
BA have got far too many to mention, the best one still has to be the first Concorde - G-BOAC.

I can't post a screenshot but there's a Grumman Bearcat currently heading towards Kings Lynn from Duxford.

Thanks

There's also a convoy of Cobham Dassault Falcons left Teesside under the callsigns Taser 11 to 14.

Back at it today (apologies for the image quality, hazy today and of the pass furthest from my house once I'd got my camera).

This just flew past my window! The low altitude and jet engine got my attention!!! Seems when it was in service it was XW325 (1970 to 1995).

G-POLW is just the police regional fixed wing aircraft, based at Doncaster. It is up several times a day most days, loitering over areas where it is needed. Usually because the helicopter is busy somewhere else.
