G-TFSI, a P51 Mustang, just spotted slightly NW of Swaffham

The ex-TFC TF-51 Miss Velma, which forced landed in the field near the M11 during legends about 4 years ago. Now owned by Anglia Restorations and repainted as a Duxford based P-51 Contrary Mary.

Looks like it might be on a sightseeeing trip along the east anglian coast, being a two seater?

Some more info on that North American OV10 , they have 15 aircraft of that design alone.

The Mustang is now over Dover. Heading towards Beachy Head. I wonder what his range is?

We already know that, like cars, aircraft can have vanity registrations. I had to check the CAA site, because I couldn't believe that they would issue 'G FECK'. They did, for a Jabiru. Guess the CAA doesn't quite get certain meanings....

It's on the same route again this afternoon.

There's also currently a DH89 up from Duxford G-AIYR

Looks like its doing a few circuits over some of the old east coast P-51 bases at the moment.

Plus B-17G Sally B is also up at the moment just east of Thetford.

Edit:
Looks like the passenger in the P-51 might be very lucky as part of his/her flight as the P-51 now seems to be tracking the B-17G as if its going to try for a formation meet up.

Probably the same one that was round here earlier from Coningsby. Came from the east, then did the Dambusters run over Howden/Derwent/Ladybower. Shame I was out walking near there on Tuesday instead of today. Do they ever let the public know when they’re going to be doing that route through the valley?

Back at it today (apologies for the image quality, hazy today and of the pass furthest from my house once I'd got my camera).

Note it's a 737-700 not the 800 used on their normal Pax flight.

I believe you can charter the 700 as a private aircraft and the big wigs use it to get around.

On the 22nd June 1944 48 P-51 Mustangs flew 2,200 miles from RAF Debden in Essex to Poltava in the Soviet Union (now Ukraine). A flight that took seven and a half hours and involved escorting over 100 USAAF bombers to targets in Ruhland, near the German border(s) with (then) Czechoslovakia and Poland, en route... https://www.americanairmuseum.com/person/96835
