Saw this fly over my school (Bracknell) the kids went wild. Any confirmation on what it is all about?
The flypast was for the Japanese Prime Minister who is in the UK to sign a new defence agreement.

Not got a clue on comms. Fairly sporty from FL38 to FL10 squawking 7700.

Could just be a PAN. Who knows.

OK thanks, maybe less startling to have just said squawking 7700 rather than introduce Mayday. A 7700 squawk doesn't automatically mean a Mayday has been declared.

Having watched these two do a bit of a grand tour of England taking in the Lakes, The Dales, The Peak District - they did the decent thing and gave me a fly by at low level.

Jet 2 was a medical diversion. FWIW.

I see you have aircraft showing near Lossie in that screengrab - whenever I am up in Moray I hear a lot of flying (lot more than there used to be) but never see anything on Flightradar - is there a setting I need to change or have you just chanced upon a mass glider event at that club south of Elgin?

If you want a better chance of seeing aircraft operating in and out of Lossiemouth, you are better using this site https://globe.adsbexchange.com/
If you select ‘U’ in the top right hand corner it filters out the commercial traffic to leave you with just military. It’s not a guarantee you will see everything that’s airborne but better than FR24. I regularly see Poseidon activity but don’t think all Typhoon sorties show up.

Thanks thumbup

I could always look up as well, but I am guessing Poseidon comes in and out mostly over sea, or at least much closer to the coast - never have time when I visit to actually get near the base with my binoculars and anorak sadly. Would regularly see Buc's, Jags and of course the SAR helicopter flying overhead in my youth though and do miss them, not to mention the Shackletons and Nimrods out of Kinloss.

I saw them in the distance, looked fantastic. Checked Flight radar and they were just lining up for the dambusters practice run!

This went over twenty minutes ago and has landed at Rochester airfield - grass strip. Lovely sound, nice looking aircraft.
