Marginally better photo from 11,000 ft, before descending to land after a short hop ex Fairford.

747-E4B ‘Doomsday’ plane, took off from Brize

That's just gone over me on its circuit into Mildenhall - weird looking thing!

I know RIAT was at Fairford which would have made more sense, but I’m sure the tracking said it had come from Brize - now it has landed I can’t see it. Not to worry!

You really should not have posted that link! I’ve got work to do!

Its show tracking from Brize, as Brize handle ATC for Fairford, as Fairford is a 'temp' basing.

The pair of German NH90 helo's that left Fairford earlier have done a low level sightseeing circuit around Wembley stadium on their way back, obviously footie fans laugh

Tell me about it! The arrivals on Wednesday and Thursday really reduced my productivity!

They are a cool fleet - I saw the Draken while doing a job at F37 base at Kallinge, south Sweden and it's a proper lovely aircraft.

But not the Lansen though.......and there was an unexpected arrival at Fairford early this morning of a Swedish AF C130......so I wonder if the Lansen went tech yesterday....?

I was in Tilbury town centre earlier (lucky me) & they came right over, low & in relatively tight formation.

Just heard a Hurricane and Spitfire heading by, presumably going to Leuchars which is about 10 miles away.
