Amazingly well preserved carcass for an engine ingestion...

If it just goes through the fan and not the core the bird is usually quite complete.

I hit one a few months ago and the fan blades were damaged but the bird was like the one in the photo and found largely intact after a runway inspection.

ILS approach on a moonless night into Addis Ababa. Doof! "What was that?". Subsequent investigation revealed a black skidmark with hairs, not feathers, just in front of the windscreen.
