I went on Sunday, avoided the M11 - I went up the A1(M) and A505. The roads were clear until a mile from the entrance. I missed the car park and pulled off to turn around but a chap in a yellow vest waved me into the Officers Mess car park which was at the foot of the pedestrian bridge.
The Red Arrows were fantastic, helped a lot by the cometary. The F16 painfully loud. My 14 year old was very excited by the Mustangs. It's a bit of a shame they didn't have a genuine Me109 - they had a Spanish equivalent with a merlin engine.
The spitfires at the end were incredible. It was quite expensive at £80 (one adult, on OAP and three kids). But great.
Who was the PHer with the White Audi A8 outside the Land Warfare exhibit?

Considering that the only airworthy genuine Me109's are in Canada/USA it's perhaps not surprising Thwe only flying Battle of Britain era 109Es are in the US.

And FOUR Hurricanes. I didn't know there were so many.
There's actually 6 airworthy Hurricanes in the UK, and currently a total of 12 worldwide.Gassing Station | Boats, Planes & Trains | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
