So, what precisely ARE the direct technical links betweemn the S-67 gunship Blackhawk and the UH-60 Utility Blackhawk?

How did the development of the S-67 gunship contribute to the design of the S-70 transport?

what on earth are you on about?
As previously explained, read 'S-70 ORIGINS', second paragraph : http://www.vectorsite.net/avs70_1.html
All that means is that some technologies and concepts developed for the S-67 were eventually incorporated into a completely new design of helicopter. It obviously doensn't mean the S-70 was a direct development. They are totally different machines built to totally differnt specifications for totally different requirements. I'd be extremely surprised if there was a single common major component in the S-67 and the UH-60.

Saying that the main difference between the S-67 and UH-60 are removal of wings and a wider body is like saying the main differneces between an F1 car and a Bus are the removal of wings and a wider body. After all - they both use LED rear lights and KERS.

Both Helicicopters are Sikorsky & both were developted from the same blueprint, the later UH-60 being the production choice.....I see little reason in arguing the point over a prototype that never actually went into production - S-69 variants are mute.
What blueprint? Other than being made by the same manufacturer they have nothing in common except the name which was reused after the S-67 gunship was cancelled.
OK, I have no intention of hijacking the thread, however - The Black Hawk UH-60 was born out of the Sikorsky S-70 project designed to the United States Army's Utility Tactical Transport Aircraft System (UTTAS) specification that began in the latter part of the 1960's.

Sikorsky preceded S-70 prototype construction with a set of five demonstrators, based on modified S-61 and S-65 transport helicopters plus the experimental S-67 gunship, to validate UTTAS technologies.

Just done a bit of digging & found this under S-70 origins, second paragraph : http://www.vectorsite.net/avs70_1.html

Please trust me, I know what I'm talking about here.
To me your quoted paragraph on the history of the S-70 just says they used those demonstrators to validate and demonstrate the new UTTAS technologies.
This migh have been a single system, a new bit of avionics kit or a method of construction, I certainly wouldn't say the Blackhawk was developed from it.
