Heard a familiar sound in Wiltshire this week and was pleased to see a Hercules come popping out from behind the hill. I was photographing something else at the time but handily had a camera and 300mm in my hand so snapped a pic. I'd assumed it was a USAF aircraft, but cropping in I was surprised to see Royal Australian Air Force painted on the side. What are they doing over here?

There’s 2 iirc, one at Prestwick & one at Brize Norton, no idea whether it’s a joint excercise or just a foreign deployment for them

Tbh I’d have been disappointed if someone hadn’t done that. Glad standards have not slipped!

I presume this would have been the Brize one, we get A400s and C17s regularly. I still miss the Hercs being just down the road at Lyneham however.
