Was told about the following website by a pal. Tracks the movement of all ships round the UK coast. Interesting or geeky? Dunno but I live on the Mersey riverfront and it's cool to be able to look up a ship and see where it's off to/from.

(i'll get me sou'wester getmecoat )

Are there any AIS sites that let you track ships by specific types?

Yep, we live on Southampton Water and I can do the same, I can hear the Isle of wight Ferry go by and look online to see which one it is!

Get yourself a hand held VHF and put it on Scan, New Horizon do one for about 80 quid, you can listen to all the shipping stuff.

Oh, feeling like a nerd!

Can anyone check where Dans Dynamo is please?

It should be somewhere between Singapore and a port on the east coass of China - north of Taiwan.

Hopefully she is still moving and hasn't got stuck in a headwind or anything.

Thanks

Dan

Cool, if you click and drag you can get them to attack each other.

I just ordered the New Orleans Express to attack the Seafrance Cezanne, kicked it's ass!!

Really?
LOL

I had a game when I was in the Navy called Janes fleet command. I was in the ops room one night watch and I was playing it on my Panasonic Hardbook. It was quite realistic and one of the baby OM's who was working on the plot thought that it was actually real. I loved that game. Anyone else heard of it?
