Lots of other traffic expected over the south east this week with the G20 Summit taking place.

Some has already arrived.

For a moment I thought you were going to say Kandahar.

Came over a rise (blind spot) on the old A19 in N Yorks a year or 2 back only to find one of these hovering the other side in an ambush position. I was what you might call "shocked and awed" and the bugger wasnt even firing at me. :-)

I live a few miles from Army air corps middle wallop, so see alot of them, also not far from RAF Odiham where the Chinnok is based.

Read Apache Dawn a book about the Brits learning to fly these & going into war with them. Fantastic book & lacks the gung ho bit as you'd expect of brits in the battlefield.

I'd second that - I was out in the TVR a few weeks ago on the Wilts/ Hants border and above the noise of the engine I heard a rumble - it took a few seconds of wondering what had fallen off the car before I realised that the rumble was an Apache right over head - impressive looking piece of kit!

A few years back while driving into London on the A40 by RAF Northolt, I saw an A10 Thunderbolt take off in front of me, in desert storm colours as well.
I thought that was quite unusual.
