A Strikemaster crashed today in Devon. Luckily both occupants got out with only minor injuries. More details here

Very unfortunate. It looks like the pilot did well to get it down reasonably intact.

ISn't this jet something to do with a Pher? Roop? Or have I got this round my neck?

Where did I go the other day where there's a Jet Provost parked by the side of the road?

Once upon a time I worked for Aeromart and attended North Weald on the day that the owner of a Provost took off from the event and dropped his passeneger out through the canopy during a roll on the way home. Happily the passenger - the pilot's brother? - survived.

It was reported that the seat wasn't secured to the aircraft, but the details escape me.

Correct.

The bolts holding the seat to the seat rails hadn't been tightened up properly. The pilot and the seat ended up in a Sainsbury's car park.

Quoted, just because it's been a while since I've been able to quote Eric. Great to see him back at work.

Regarding the incident with the unsecured seat, the report is here:

Regarding the recent incident, this thread on the Proon has some enlightenment:

NoD certainly knows his onions regarding the JP, not sure who else on that thread does though.

Yes, I meant passenger smile I still have the TV interview with the chap from when it was shown in the news. He seemed quite cheerful - even though he was wearing a rather outsized neck brace.
