Guilty food pleasures
Discussion
However much one may profess to be a "foodie", everyone seems to have at least one guilty pleasure in food - something that they love despite it having all the gourmet credibility of a Doner Kebab flavour Pot Noodle.
This ocurred to me t'other day in the supermarket, where I picked up one of those cheap Austrian smoked cheeses - y'know, the one that looks like a sausage wrapped in brown polythene whose description reads "smoke-flavoured processed cheese" and lists amongst its ingredients "liquid smoke". Yet, despite it's odd paste-like texture and plasticy flavour, I love the damn stuff.
It's a similar story with Chicken McNuggets - they're mainly composed of eyelids and E-numbers but are bloody addictive, especially with the little pots of "sweet curry sauce" that McD's dispense.
That's mine, what are yours?

Big Mac, large fries and a cheeseburger 'chaser'.
3 piece variety meal with chicken gravy and KFC mayo.
Sweet & sour chicken balls, beef curry, fried rice and prawn crackers.
Oh my God, that has driven me wild. If only I'd not just had dinner.
There may be room later for a little Sunday pick-me-up!

I only ever get Zinger Tower, and I know the breast they put in it probably isn't 100% breast, but the coating and spicy salsa/mayonaise more than makes up for that
Yeah... that.In truth I suspect the chicken is decent enough quality. It's the mind-boggling number of calories in each burger that worry me. Very nice, though they seldom look as good as the picture.
