They make the gravy from the leftover bits of fried chicken & dripping that end up in the fryer don't they? Makes me wonder why somewhere like DIXY or one of those small independant fried chicken shops doesn't try and make the same thing. This then leads me to ponder on what it would be like if someone made a kebab gravy. collect up all the drippings that come off the bottom of a doner kebab spit. scratchchin

A chicken donner gravy would be epic, especially when combined with some well cooked chicken donner. Imo that is the equivalent of bbq burnt ends. So much concentrated flavour!

50 Shades of filth.

I'll be honest...I'm more than a little aroused right now.

Not too dirty but very delicious. From Hisar Mangal. My local Turkish barbecue pit place.

We have spicey lamb kofte, seasoned chicken wings, humous, salad and bulgar. Chilli and garlick sauces obviously.

Bridges the gap between dirt and authentic Turkish grub. Lovely smokey flavours.

Humous is banned in this thread!

So since my local take away shut down i have spent the last few months trying to find its replacement without much luck of finding somewhere as nice until now..

This was the best take away i have ever had, the chicken was perfect and the kebab just as amazing, I have found my now regular take away place, its a good feeling!

2 piece chicken
2 hot wings
chips
Lamb donner with chicken shish smothered in garlic mayo and a very spicy chilli sauce.

Perfection.

ETA: Just looking at the picture puts a smile on my face remembering how nice it was laugh

Good lord, that chicken & chips and kebab looks heavenly. I think I must stop looking at this thread after afew beers. It gives me dirty (takeaway) thoughts. I end up buying something that requires 2 sittings to complete and regretting it after the first full stomach.

1050 posts in a month since vol2.

Brilliant.

Embarrassingly I think I lose around 3 hours a week on this thread alone.
