Had some bits left over from Sunday - shocking presentation as always and a fair bit of bacon hiding under the toast, plus some dodgy duck egg stacking....

Very impressive breakfast. Are those potato croquettes? Not sure we've seen those before here have we?

Yup, potato croquettes - forgot to get some hash browns for Sunday's breakfast so used those instead, not been shopping yet so chucked some more on today.

Avant-garde and funky, nice one. I suspect Speckled Jim of this parish is familiar with novel ways of heating those up.

I'm a big fan. I'm afraid I'd probably only go so far as to stick these boringingly under the boring old grill. Although if I've got the panini press thingy out, then they might go on that, with the upper face suspended on its little stop about an inch above the little croqqers. That'd do them nicely. Might get some attractive and tasty burny-bits ridges on them.

So, croquettes, Aunt Bessies or McCains? Tesco version not a success.

Croquettes are the tits! I'd forgotten about them, but will be adding to my Ocado, luckly, they do M&S now, and these are the best

I was just thinking that. They need cooking longer than the time given or they're a bit greasy imho. These are better

Do you realize potato rostis are a piece of piss to make yourself? Much better than any shop stuff, probably cheaper and 'healthier' too!

A bit less of that on this thread if you don't mind smile

Sounds complicated and I would first have to buy potatoes, and peel them.....

From back in early lockdown when there was no McDonald's breakfast to be had.

Made the amateur mistake of putting the ketchup under the cheese and not on top of the hash brown though so it was lethally hot.

Sounds slippy too. I find ketchup has to go onto something rough or 'holey' like the bread, for traction.

Local harvester, never been before but very impressed, swapped mushroom and tomato’s for a sweetcorn fritta filled with smoked cheese which was very nice.

Bacon was great, I usually hate the stuff.

£6 with a coffee, unlimited toast etc

Got over my fear of going out for a Bills breakfast. Felt safe with the distancing, temp checks, cleaning etc and the breakfast hit the spot! Wife had a veggie thing, not worth a pic.

Jumbled but looks lovely (needs a toast & butter plate to sort it out). Beans in jug to aid their surreptitious disposal is a nice touch wink
