It has caused a right stir.

They raised a good sum of money through crowdfunding a couple of years back. They did nothing that they promised and investors in the dark throughout. They didn't get their perks either.

A new company with a similar name was listed at companies house before administration was announced. I expect to see WB carry on under new ownership.
oh wow. I didn't know any of that! Very fishy.
Current Wild Beer companies.

October 2022 The Wild Beer Group was started. Type of business beer manufacturing with the same owner. The alternative business don't show on his list of appointments.

If he comes out the other side with the business and shafting loyal customers and invertors it will not go down well.

A list of all the lost Breweries this year which is unfortunately being constantly updated.

As someone in the industry (Brewery and Taproom) I can tell you it's beyond brutal out there at the moment. Malt costs have just increased by 40%, we got hit with a £3100 energy bill in October (500% increase) from the truly diabolical BES utilities. The price of American hops is increasing due to the crappy £, and the UK hop harvest last year was down 50% due to the heat this year.

On top of this we've lost a couple of customers recently due to them throwing in the towel because their businesses just weren't feasible anymore. So far this month we've sold 1/15th of what we did to trade in November.... Its December for Christ's sake ha. The fact that Breweries are calling it quits in December is extremely worrying... Jan - March will be a total massacre.

The pound has climbed again so that should start easing the pressure there.

I was drinking a lovely (cask) 5.9% NEIPA in a micro pub in a Liverpool suburb last week - their house beer but made by Twisted Wheel brewery.

The best bit - £4 a pint!!

Genuine Munich Paulaner on draft as well - £4.60 a pint.
So sad to hear that Twisted Wheel have gone. To be fair given what I was paying above perhaps no surpise, I would have happily paid another quid

That is naughty.

I'm an Investor and also advise on mergers and acquisitions. I was very recently advising on a crowdfunding deal for a well known small brewery. They'd hired a clown to get the thing going, who had valued the company (pre-new money) at approx 7 times what it was actually worth, and was intending to use the new money solely for marketing.

An absolute disaster in the making so I walked away from it.

I've put money into a few breweries through crowdfunding. It's more for support of the company rather than expecting a return. I would expect at the minimum the perks supplied.

This is going to be a hard year for breweries. There will also be less people willing to invest in breweries through crowdfunding.

If anyone interested (and got a Costco card) 24 cans of ‘craft’ beer for £30:

I’ve had to hide them in the garage as her in doors says I’ve got enough beer stocked up for Christmas

Not one that I know, but I saw on Insta that Boutilliers Brewery in Faversham has called in the administrators today. As mentioned just up the thread this is going to be a brutal winter.

I hadn't heard of them either, but got a notification through on my phone today about their demise. I subsequently looked them up on untappd and looks like they made some decent beer, so shame. I'd agree, seems to be almost every other day at the moment reading about different breweries going under.

Well I'm certainly doing my bit to keep them going. I live over in Amsterdam, but will be back in the UK for Christmas. So I've been ordering quite a lot of beers in anticipation of this. So far I've ordered two sets of the barrel aged stouts from Cloudwater which is six different beers, so twelve in total. The hop & sour set, another six beers, then another order on top with five different beers in that order, including some hoppy ones, a six mixed pack from Verdant, mostly hoppy beers, five beers from Overtone, mixture of hoppy and barrel aged, three stouts from Neon Raptor, two of which are the barrel aged version and then finally today ordered the barrel aged special collaboration beer between Bang The Elephant, Emperor and Abstract Jungle, HOBi Wan KeNOBi Darkside Edition, which sounds amazing. I've wanted to try an Emperor beer for a while, so looking forward to trying it. I will try and visit Azvex taproom as well sometime while I'm back and so may well end up getting some beers from them to take away. Again I've been wanting to try their beers for a while and it is nice having a brewery like that from my hometown. Just remembered that I also have a few beers from Balance Brewing & Blending waiting as well.

Also Pomona are supposed to be doing a barrel aged release, they do every year, but haven't seen anything for this year yet, leaving it pretty late.

Has anybody else had one of these ? -

What did you think ?

I think it's a cross between a dry cider/pale ale/prosecco.

I quite like Ninkasi. Yadokai is/was my favourite of theirs. Ninkasi kinda feels to me like a cross between a proper Saison and sparkling wine.

This was OK, not my favourite but it's good to try different breweries. I paid £2.89 for the 440ml can. 5.8%.

I’ve got this trio to try over Christmas:

All have been barrel aged for 12 months before bottle conditioning.

I'm from faversham, I like beer, I buy plenty of craft stuff, I drink in local tap rooms! I've never heard of them!

PS I am sat 0.7 miles from their brewery.

It sounds as if Wild Beer are gone. The deal with a potential buyer broke down and the staff have been let go.

The list of breweries going is getting longer.
