I’ve got this trio to try over Christmas:

All have been barrel aged for 12 months before bottle conditioning.
which brewery is this?
Staggeringly good in Portsmouth. Cherry is no more as that was quite limited in supply (and popular) others are available online if not local.

Hoppy ale from Wildflower…

Wild ale with honey from Wildflower…

A lovely pair…

Very dark, very tasty and 11%…

More tasty dark stuff at 11%…

And a more-local cracker, albeit 13.5%…

Never heard of them but a quick google and I recognised the facility from Chapel Down.

Love the about us

“Risk Capital Partners acquired the brewery in April 2021 as part of a carve-out from Chapel Down (the English wine company). They appointed a new heavyweight management team to lead the business into the next phase in its development, including pub and brewing veteran Mark Crowther as chairman.”

We visited the Bitburg brewery last summer and the start of the tour it shows you the succession of Dr’s who have run the company (all brewers) and then it got to “Bitburg today” and whilst everyone was still a Dr, it was head of marketing, head of finance, head of personnel, head of logistics. I guess that’s big scale brewing!

Stumbled into a small pub in Newton Abbot I've not been in before after a day's racing on New Year's Day to find a grand selection of beers from a lovely Ukranian Landlord including this fetching bottle of Putin at circa 8% but tasted gorgeous.

After several I still have a large bruise on my thigh, cut knee , missing wallet and no memory of getting home lol

a tasty 6%IPA from Tesco, not often I'd recommend but this is a good one.

I've posted on here before about how I've typically found Verdant IPAs to be a bit overrated and not worth the fairly extortionate prices they command compared to heavily hopped beers of similar quality from other breweries.

Well this one is 100% worth the £9 it cost. Absolutely bloody sensational.

I had one of those from a beer shop tasting night some time back, I don't usually like IPAs but it doesn't have the grapefruit taste I don't like from IPAs. I had another at the weekend in a local bar too.

Hesket Newmarket brewery were brewing that on licence last year and serving draught - unusual but nice (and, yes, lethal)

Putty is great!

You guys may wish to order some Polly's special birthday beer.... a 13.2% QIPA. Get in quick, only went on sale at 11am today:

https://shop.pollysbrew.co/product/five-years-quad...

Their previous birthday beers have been sensational.

Popped into Beak on Tuesday to pick up 4 kegs for my local landlord.

Did anyone try the Beak x Third Moon collaboration stout called Paste? 11% and bloody amazing!
