I thought I’d try a Big Tasty the other day seeing as I was on expenses and you lot keep going on about how good they are.
Dry and manky tasting, that sauce is disgusting. McD do small burgers really well, but the big ones just aren’t nice.
Try Buger King. Much better. More choice too. But most too filthy to step into never mind eat food from.Dry and manky tasting, that sauce is disgusting. McD do small burgers really well, but the big ones just aren’t nice.

I tend to avoid Burger King since getting clamped in their car park by the van who was waiting in their car park and clamped me as soon as I crossed the road to get cash to buy food. I was only gone 5 minutes. They pointed out that the car park was for restaurant customers only and that I wasn’t allowed to leave the premises. I asked them why they were parked in the car park waiting for people when they weren’t restaurant customers, but the logic there escaped them.

Went to the re-opened branch in York at the weekend, Whopper(s) were as good as ever, in a different league to McDonalds in that the burgers were edible and tasted of something other than ketchup. Can't understand the comments about fries, these were perfectly crispy and didn't even need extra salt - never had decent fries from any McDonalds (not in the last 10 years anyway). Last time I went to a KFC was in 2008 and it was that bad I vowed never to return, so in the grand scheme of things it doesn't really matter what their fries are like given they're supposed to be a fried chicken 'joint' and can't even manage that
I tend to avoid BK as anywhere near me the price is much higher than McD's and its not 'that much' better.
Stopped at a motorway services on business trip so got myself a steakhouse Angus with crispy onion - and it is very tasty with great fries. Repeated on me for the rest of the day though.

Mayo Chicken prices going up 20%.
Always thought they looked conspicuously good value, there's not much you can buy for 99p these days that is actually pretty decent.
Noticed that earlier when I popped in at lunchtime. Still not bad though, Big Mac, Regular Fries and a Mayo Chicken, £3.18 all in Always thought they looked conspicuously good value, there's not much you can buy for 99p these days that is actually pretty decent.
The only good thing to come out of the latest announcements, in my opinion, is at last the addition of a 'Saver Meal' scheme, whereby one can soon order a Cheeseburger, Double Cheeseburger or Mayo Chicken with a 'side' (fries, obviously) and a drink. £3.99, £4.79 and £3.99 respectively, although this is a 'trial' scheme in 120 south-east locations before possibly being rolled out in full.
Garlic Cheese Bites now superseded by the frankly vile Chilli Cheese Bites.

£7.89 for a grand mac with bacon meal
Ridiculous price increases.
Gone are the days of mcdo being a cheap eat.
Even BK is cheaper now, you can get a whopper, royale, fries and a drink for £6.99 and it tastes a 100 times better than mcdonalds.
Good to know the Grand Mac is back though, I do love themRidiculous price increases.

Shame that 99% of the time I get McD's delivered to me it's cold and missing things. Might have to venture to pick up for this.

i still think BK is more expensive generally and terribly inconsistent. a well cooked hot BK is actually quite nice, but more often BK's are empty, slow, cold food, poorly put together and any customization ignored. The only decent ones seem to be services (despite the increased prices) as they have a high traffic so have to be on it. the average high street or retail park one is usually dead ime.
Mcd's are generally (notable exceptions on this thread) far more consistently ok.

Im niether lazy, nor throw my litter on the floor.
The reasons are simple. It quicker and the food hotter becuase drive thru is cleary prioritized most of the time.
Additonally, during the day, inside is populated by screaming out of control kids, and in the evening by low life ive no desire to interface with. And now, at all times, delivery drivers with no idea how to behave in a public place. In short "inside" is a hostile environment.
My car, a haven of peace and traquility. Plus the food might still be warm
^^^^ this. Drive thru is always preferable. Inside, unless its like 7am or something, its a massive scrum full of delivery riders and school children. Service takes an absolute age. Once I waited 30mins, gave up and made a complaint on the McDonald’s app and got a free £10 voucher. The reasons are simple. It quicker and the food hotter becuase drive thru is cleary prioritized most of the time.

Large white coffee gone up again today - 10p increase to £1.39. A small is still 99p and has been throughout these increases.
Anyhow, this is what qualifies for newsworthy in my sad world.
better to be that, than one of those "insta" people who pay 7 pounds for a matcha caramel gold leaf coffee in Kensington!Anyhow, this is what qualifies for newsworthy in my sad world.
