BoBo Special is fully booked tonight frown and I have an evening to kill on my own, so will probably go for Byron at Charing Cross
Try Meat Market in Covent Garden which is not far from Charing Cross. Same as Meat Liqor/Meat Mission. I love their Dead Hippie, very much on the dirty side of things but very well executed!

Shake Shack and Five Guys are not far either...Haven't tried the former, had the latter once but can't remember much of it so can't have been that good I guess.

Last time I had a burger in London, it was at a Burger & Lobster - somewhere near Bond Street. I was pleasantly surprised.

Ended up at Byron Wardour St. No where near as good as Almost Famous in Manchester

I am still here, just finishing my drink

Byron is leagues ahead of GBK, who serve overdone pub burgers (unless they've changed dramatically in the past couple of years).

Best for me is a toss-up between Lucky Chip and Dip & Flip; Bleecker and Burger Bear also good.

Agreed! Talking of chains, I'd put Honest above Byron.

Looks like it. Not sure about the other (canary wharf) location.

I really think burger folk lose all credibility when they say that they rate Byron burger in any shape or form.

Based on what was generally available in chain restaurants 10 years ago, Byron is a revelation. But they're nowhere near the best you can find.

It was ok but it wasn't special. I went there mainly because it was convenient to my location at the time.

Had a really good burger with fries and truffle mayo in Shoreditch a couple of weeks ago, but I can't remember the name of the place. I had the smokey burger which in a rather pretentious way came in a dome filled with smoke. Stupid but tasted pretty good and the truffle fries were lovely

It's the Pizza Express of the burger world.

Consistent, reliable, tasty (but not mind blowing) and relatively well priced.
